In Senegal, in West Africa, where we are originally from, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke founded the Sufi Group Al-Muridiyyah, to revive the basic concepts of Islam and their practice with total devotion. Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba lived a full allegiance to the Prophet Mouhammad (may Peace be upon Him), the basis for the name “Khadīmu r-Rasūl” (Servant of the Prophet). The Mourides, we proudly call ourselves his followers, and have the same determination to the principle of “Work as if you will never die but worship as if you will die tomorrow”.
